Invisible Orthodontics.
Alignment, Comfort, Discretion.
When Invisible Orthodontics Is the Right Choice
Discretion and control, without losing clinical readability
Clear aligners make sense when you want to correct crowding, spaces, rotations, or certain bite problems without introducing a visible, fixed treatment into your daily life. The priority, however, remains to understand whether they are really suitable for your case and with what timing.
Each path is digitally planned with 3Shape TRIOS scanner and ClinCheck simulation: before deciding you know what we want to correct, which result is realistic and where invisible orthodontics has advantages or limitations, starting from a specialist evaluation complete.
What Really Changes for the Patient
Not just the aesthetics of the device, but concrete management of the treatment in daily life.
Royal Discretion
Clear aligners are designed for those who work in contact with people, talk a lot or simply don't want visible braces.
Simpler Daily Management
You remove them for eating and oral hygiene. This helps those who want to maintain habits and cleanliness without the constraints of fixed braces.
Visible Planning Before You Start
With 3Shape scanner and ClinCheck software, see the plan, the sequence of movements and the expected result before making the final decision.
Comfort and Predictability
No metal wires and progressive movements. Comfort, however, remains linked to correct biomechanics and the patient's collaboration.
When You Need to Clarify Whether Aligners Are Really the Right Choice
Not all cases have the same indication. Some complex malocclusions, skeletal needs or very extensive corrections may require a different strategy or combination of techniques.
For this reason the value of the first visit is not to "start immediately", but to understand whether the case is suitable for aligners, with what limitations and with what realistic objective.
How the Path Works
From scanning to final restraint, each phase serves to make the treatment legible, controlled and sustainable over time.
Consultation and 3D scanning
Complete analysis of your occlusion with 3Shape intraoral scanner. No impression paste — just digital precision.
ClinCheck Treatment Plan
3D simulation of the entire route: see the final result, the number of aligners and the estimated duration before deciding.
Custom made aligners
Each set of aligners is manufactured with SmartTrack technology for controlled and predictable movements. They change every 1-2 weeks.
Periodic checks
Monitoring visits every 6-8 weeks to check progress and optimize the plan in real time.
Restraint and Stability
At the end of the alignment, a fixed or removable retainer maintains the result over time. Stability is part of the plan.

Dual Clinical Competence
Dr. Sofia Preatoni & Dr. Buniato
Orthodontics in the Buniato practice is managed by Dr. Sofia Preatoni, specialist in orthodontics and pedodontics, in close collaboration with Dr. Buniato. This synergy guarantees an integrated vision: alignment is never an end in itself, but is part of an overall aesthetic and functional project, built with precision digital instruments.
For younger patients, Dr. Preatoni offers a dedicated approach that combines prevention, early detection and orthodontic treatment in a calm and welcoming environment.
Instrumentation of Excellence
Hu-Friedy: Precision in Every Detail
Each orthodontic procedure — from attachment bonding to final finishing — is performed with Hu-Friedy instruments, the world standard for surgical and orthodontic precision.
The quality of the tools is not a detail: it is the difference between a good result and an excellent result. It's the same philosophy we apply to every aspect of the studio.
For what needs is it most useful
Invisible orthodontics is very effective in many cases, but every indication must be read within the overall picture of the patient.
Crowding
Overlapping or rotated teeth, progressively aligned with controlled millimetric movements.
Diastemi
Interdental spaces closed in a predictable way, respecting the biomechanics of orthodontic movement.
Open / Deep Bite
Correction of vertical discrepancies with specific protocols and constant monitoring.
Cross-bite
Realignment of the transverse relationships between the upper and lower arches for optimal masticatory function.
"Invisible orthodontics doesn't hide the treatment — it reveals the smile."

Frequently Asked Questions about Orthodontics
Is Invisalign as effective as traditional fixed braces?
For appropriate indications, yes. A meta-analysis by Ke et al. (BMC Oral Health, 2019; DOI: 10.1186/s12903-019-0758-1) out of 8 randomized studies concluded that transparent aligners are equivalent to fixed appliances for alignment and rotation correction. For complex malocclusions (severe class II, skeletal open bite), the fixed appliance maintains biomechanical advantages. Dr. Preatoni evaluates the optimal technique on a case-by-case basis.
How long does an Invisalign treatment last?
The duration varies from 6 to 18 months depending on the complexity. Rossini et al. (Angle Orthodontist, 2015; DOI: 10.2319/071714-504.1) report an average duration of 12.5 months for cases of moderate crowding. ClinCheck 3D planning allows you to visualize the expected result and estimate the duration before starting treatment. Aligners are replaced every 7-14 days with check-ups every 6-8 weeks.
At what age is the first orthodontic visit recommended for a child?
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an orthodontic evaluation by the age of 7, when the mixed dentition allows for early detection of skeletal malocclusions. Interceptive orthodontics during growth can reduce the need for complex treatments in adolescence. Dr. Preatoni, specialist in pedodontics and orthodontics, is responsible for the pediatric orthodontic courses of the practice.
Is orthodontics in adults possible?
Absolutely yes. There is no age limit for orthodontic treatment, as long as the tissues periodontal are healthy. Invisalign aligners are particularly suitable for adults due to their aesthetic discretion. The 3Shape TRIOS 6 scan eliminates traditional silicone impressions, making the diagnostic process quick and comfortable.
